PETERHEAD PLUCK. Aberdeen Draws Record Gate in Holiday Game.
A record crowd about saw Peterhead put up a plucky fight against Aberdeen in the holiday match at the Recreation Park, Peterhead, last night. Aberdeen who won by four goals to nil, fielded nine of the eleven who defeated Queen's Park on Saturday.

Peterhead refused to be overawed by occasion, and even when Hill headed home Aberdeen's opening goal fifteen minutes from the start, they continued to play with determination. They were presented with a fine chance of drawing level when a penalty for handling was awarded against Aberdeen. Henderson ran the whole length of the field to shoot weakly past, and a second attempt fared no better.

Home Right Wing Keen.

Playing well within themselves, Aberdeen went further ahead through Cheyne. The home forwards were far from idle, and several times their right wing made Legge look lively.
The homesters opened the second half with a promising raid, and for the first fifteen minutes Blackwell was the more anxious goal-keeper.
The Dons gradually bore the opposition down, and near the end David and Yorston netted. On time. Lament sent in a dangerous shot which Blackwell handled in masterly fashion.
In the opinion of Mr Paddy Travers, who was present at the match, the outstanding players in the home eleven were Stephen, Bennett, and Buchan.
