Partick Thistle ABANDONED 0 - 2 Aberdeen
Match abandoned 56 minutes - snow obscuring lines
Kick Off:  3:00 PM         Jess 44, Jess 51
Attendance: 7,133
Venue: Firhill, Glasgow
This was a very one-sided affair, in snowy conditions, with the Dons dominating from the start. Bett, Grant, Richardson and Mason had a complete stranglehold in midfield and Snelders had only one save to make in the first 45. Murdoch, at the other end, was kept very busy with efforts from several Dons. Eoin Jess finally opened the scoring in 44 minutes when he latched onto a loose ball in the penalty box and put the Dons into a well-deserved lead. During the interval, the Partick groundman mad a half-hearted attempt to sweep the lines clear of snow, but he had only one brush and the head kept coming off it. Partick resumed strongly and forced Sneleders to save brilliantly from Farningham, but Jess made it 2-0 fro a free-kick. The referee finally decided to abandon after 56 minutes, indicating that the steadily falling snow was making a nonsense of the conditions. A harsh choice for the Dons.
