Aberdeen 'A' Beaten

Celtic Reserves Much Too Good.

Aberdeen ?A? met with a reverse at Celtic Park, where the home reserves triumphed by five goals to three.
Fifteen minutes after the start McGhee accepted a Kavanagh pass to give Celts the lead, and four minutes later Cowan increased the homesters' advantage from a penalty.
Aberdeen improved, and Smith struck the woodwork and Warnock and Patterson had good tries. Just on half-time David reduced the leeway.

Aberdeen's hopes of a point faded somewhat when, with five minutes of the second half gone, Whitelaw got a third goal for Celtic.
Within less than half an hour Smith notched a fourth and Hughes a fifth.
In an Aberdeen attack Miller put through his own goal to take the visitors' total to two. Shortly before the end David, from a penalty, secured Aberdeen's third goal.
