Aberdeen 'A' Fail

Beith Triumph By Odd Goal.

Aberdeen "A" went down at Beith by the odd goal in five after a great struggle.

Aberdeen held the advantage at the start, and with ten minutes gone Paterson opened the scoring.
Following fruitless pressure by the home team, Aberdeen again got going, and Burke notched a second goal.
Beith replied immediately, and Smith reduced the leeway.
Ten minutes from the interval Mclnnes levelled the scores, and a few minutes later the homesters took the lead through J. Bell.
Mclnnes and D. Bell were prominent for Beith on the resumption, but Aberdeen quickly replied, and Muir was called into action. Aberdeen kept pegging away, and Merrie, Warnock, and Burke had excellent tries. The Pittodrie men held the advantage until the finish, but failed to equalise.
