Andy came up through the ranks in Aberdeen and provided a powerful and energetic option to his managers in the midfield area. He was unfortunate, perhaps, in being in contention with other potent midfielders whilst at Pittodrie but undoubtedly played a huge part in bringing the Dons their League Championship in season 1979-80.
