blair mckenzie

Squad Number: 35
Position: Defender
Date of Birth: Tuesday, August 2, 2005
"Blair shows that there is another route. He came from Hutchison Vale FC, a very well-known and respected Boys Club in Edinburgh, where we have managed to recruit players in the past. Blair played at left-back coming through and we kept an eye on him over the years. He has grown into being a really tall left centre-half. He's a player who was really sought after through the country and had a number of offers from various football clubs so we feel it is a real achievement that Blair chose to come to Aberdeen because we did not put a lot of pressure on the youngster. We wanted Blair to come here for the right reasons - to learn, to develop. He chose us because of the family feel and how he was treated by everyone and how welcome he was made to feel."
On 24th May 2023, the Club announced that Blair had signed a contract extension that would keep him with the Dons until at least 2025. A further announcement on 14th July 2023 confirmed that he would go on a season long loan to Elgin City.
