Full name: Luís Henriques de Barros Lopes Nickname "Duk" [DOOK] A Benfica B player, Luis was signed on a three year deal to help strengthen the Aberdeen attack. His first season was a spectacular success, elevating the player to cult status, but in his second season, with the Dons' form variable, he did not feature so often as a starting player. In the summer of 2024 Duk failed to turn up for pre-season training, making it known that he wanted to leave the Club. This dispute rolled on until on 7th September it was announced that the player had returned to the fold and had resumed training with the objective of returning to first team football. Unfortunately he never regained the form that had made him a folk hero in his first season. On 3rd February 2025 it was announced that Duk had left the Club to join C.D. Leganés in Spain for an undisclosed fee (speculated to be in the region of £600,000) half of which would go to Benfia.
