Max has been capped by England at Under 16, 17, 18 and 20 level, made his Derby debut in the EFL Cup in August 2016 against Carlisle United.
Since then Max has made fifteen appearances for the Championship club, coming on as a substitute in this week?s 4-0 Carabao Cup victory at Hull City. He also started the first two Championship fixtures this season against Reading and Leeds United.
The Derby County Youth Academy product was on loan at Shrewsbury Town between January and May this year where he played 16 times for the Shrews in all competitions.
Max signed a new deal at Derby before travelling north to train with his new teammates this morning. He will wear squad number 29 during his time at Pittodrie and everyone at the club wishes him all the very best during his spell in Scotland.

At the end of his loan spell, much to the disappoinment of everyone at Pittodrie Max was recalled to play for Derby County by his manager on the 1st Jan 2019 - however, Max returned to Aberdeen on loan on 17th Jan 2019 for the remainder of the season.
During the summer of 2019 Aberdeen tried to strike a deal with Derby to bring Max back to Pittodrie once more, but with a change of management at Derby no arrangement could be struck.
