Michael signed for the Dons in the summer of 2019 from Queen's Park, having already played for their first team.
In his first season at Reserve level Michael helped Paul Sheerin's side get to the Reserve Cup Final and he also helped the U18s reach the SFA Youth Cup Final, scoring both goals that defeated Rangers in the semi-final. In all games he scored 17 goals, and won the Development Player of the Year award.
In August 2020 he appeared on the Aberdeen bench for the first team and made his debut for the senior side in the friendly game in Dubai against Jordanian side Al-Wehdat SC during the 2019 winter training camp.
On 5th September 2020 it was announced that Michael had signed a 1 year extension to his contract and agreed to go on loan to Arbroath for the 20/21 season in oreder to increase his first team experience. He was recalled to Pittodrie on 1st February 2021 and began season 2021-2022 on the fringe of the first team squad before, on the 6th September, being sent on loan to Falkirk for the season, but returned to Pittodrie on the 18th of January.
For the remainder of the season he made up the numbers on the substitutes bench, only appearing close to the end of the season. On the 17th of May 2022 the Club announced that he would leave at the end of his contract. In June he signed with Queen of the South.
