Nicknamed Ruby. Signed from Serbian SuperLiga club FK Novi Pazar for an undisclosed fee, Slobodan came through the youth ranks at FK Vojvodina, but his first year as a professional came with SuperLiga club FK Cukaricki.
His fearless approach to the game endeared him to the supporters but his first season was marred by an injury that caused his to miss several matches.
On 13th February 2025, after had had slipped down the selection order, Ruby was announced as having gone on loan to Serbian club FK Novi Pazar till the end of the season. On 20th August 2025 the Dons officially confrmed that he had completed a permanent move to Polish side Korona Kielce for an undisclosed fee.
