Starting for the Dons against Burnley in te Europa League match at Pittodrie, Tommie was an instant hit with the fans who could see that he was a quality player. Unfortunately he suffered an injury early in the season and had to wait till January 2019 before resuming his part in the Dons' campaign. Another injury that February brough his tiem at Pitodrie to a premature end and he returned to Watford FC for treatment.
In 2020 Tommie returned to go through rehabilitation and then pre-season traing with the Dons and on 31st July was awarded a short-term contract to January 202. However on 8th October the Club was able to announce that the deal had been extended to the end of the season. On 17th May 2021 it was announced that Tommie's contract would not be extended further.
Tommie joined Crewe Alexandra, but on 16th August 2021 Crewe announced that he had retired from professional football.
