On 5th january 2023 it was announced that Graeme had rejoined the Dons on loan until the end of the season at which time the Club opened negotiations with Wigan to sign hm permanently. However complications arose when Wigan ran into difficulties with HMRC. His return to Pittodrie on a three-year deal was officially confirmed on 28th June. May 24th 2025 saw Graeme reaching his 300th appearance for the Dons in the Scottish Cup Final. He became the first Aberdeen Captin to lift the venerable trophy in 35 years after a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory over Celtic.
