THIS WEEK'S AMUSEMENTS THE COLISEUM. The brilliant start given to the opening of this picture theatre has continued, and the hall promises to one of the most popular. The programme for this week is well balanced in drama, art, educative, and humorous pictures. The leading feature will be the cinematograph newspaper of the current events of the world, which stamps the entertainment with up-to-dateness. Local events are added daily, and if you were at the flower show or at Pittodrie, and if you have been snapshotted, Messrs Walker will give you a large mounted photograph if you recognise yourself on the screen. A large number of photographs were claimed last week. Drama is represented by "A Colonel at Twenty-Five," an affair of love and war, in which there is a sharp battle scene; "A Rose of the Philippines" is the Wild West drama; and travel is represented by a tour through the beautiful island of Java in colour photography. A number of humorous pictures, headed with "Davy Jones's Parrot" completes the picture programme. The cinematophone will be responsible for two illustrated songs, while Mr Jack Kynoch, pianist, will accompany the pictures.
