Richmond 4 - 2 Aberdeen
Kick Off:  7:15 PM   Jacky Connon, Jacky Connon, Jacky Connon, Yule.       Duffus, Wright.
Attendance: 1,500
Venue: Central Park, Aberdeen
At Central Park, Aberdeen, last night, a strong team consisting mostly of Aberdeen Club players were beaten by Richmond, a local junior team, were 4 goals to 2. About 1500 spectators witnessed a fast game in which the play generally favoured Richmond. The junior forwards were particularly fast and nippy in their work, and, backed up by a clever defence which allowed the opposing forwards little scope, they overran the Aberdeen XI defence, which had a rather trying experience. On the run of play Richmond were unfortunate to be in arrears at the interval, and the Aberdeen XI led by 2 goals to 1. In the period King had much more work to do than Harvey.

In the second half, playing downhill, Richmond forwards gave a clever display, and King, Hannah, and McRobbie were set a task which proved beyond them, the defence being pierced on three occasions. About a quarter of an hour from the finish Walker, the Aberdeen XI inside right, was injured, and had to be carried off. Following upon this the Aberdeen XI rearranged their forward line, but without success, and Richmond won in deserving fashion. The goal-scorers were:- For Aberdeen XI - J. Duffus, Wright; Richmond - Connon (3), Yule.
