Dundee Win At Pittodrie |
 |
A small crowd witnessed the friendly game between Aberdeen select and Dundee at Pittodrie. The meeting provided a rather one-sided game, Dundee throughout being the superior side. Aberdeen included in the team Anderson and Colman of last year's players, and the remainder was made up of soldiers, sailors, and juniors.
Aberdeen made a splendid start, and within a minute's time Creighton had beaten Bowie with an easy shot. In time, however, Dundee improved, and Taylor cleverly registered the equaliser. Dundee pressed hard, and shot after shot rained in upon Aberdeen, but the custodian defied their efforts. Just before half-time, Boyes headed through from a beautiful cross from Herron.
Aberdeen started well again in the second half, and Bowie had his work cut out for him for a time. The run of play, however, soon changed again, and Dundee gradually increased their lead. From this time onwards Dundee were undoubtedly the superior side.
