JUNIORS BEAT SENIORS AT PITTODRIE. RANKIN AND CONNON INJURED. |
 |
In a match at Pittodrie last night, in aid of the British Olympic Games Fund, a select team of the Aberdeenshire Junior Association beat an Aberdeen F.C. XI by 2 goals to 1. In the first half, Duncan (Parkvale) gave the Juniors the lead. In the second half, Mutch equalised for Aberdeen, but shortly afterwards McIntosh (East End) obtained the winning goal for the Juniors. Aberdeen finished the game with nine players, Rankin and Connon sustaining ankle injuries, and having to retire. It is probable that both will be unable to play on Saturday.
