The improvement in the Deveronvale team this year was effectively shown by their display against Aberdeen "A" in their Aberdeen and District League fixture at Princess Royal Park, Banff, last night.
The home players had a bad quarter of an hour in the first half when Aberdeen A scored four goals, but afterwards they were a match for the visitors.
Marr in the Deveronvale goal might have saved one or two of the opening goals, but after a shaky start he gave a splendid display.
