Paul Hegarty's honeymoon period as caretaker manager of Aberdeen Football Club
came to an abrupt end in Perth when the Dons were soundly beaten by fourth placed
St. Johnstone. Jamie Buchan gave the visitors the lead in 25 minutes before Saints levelled
on the stroke of half-time when Gary Bollan scored from the spot after John
Inglis had needlessly pushed Darren Dods in the box.
The second half was 'all Saints' with Alan Kernaghan and John O'Neil (2) finding the net.
