Another dull and dissapointing affair led to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Dundee. With
very little chances for either side in the first half, it took 30 minutes for
the first real chance of the match. It took even longer for the first goal
of the match to occur, and it was the visitors who took the lead. A good move
from Dundee led to ex-Rangers player Steven Boyack making it 1-0 after 40 minutes. As the sides went in at half-time, the Aberdeen support were hopeful that the
Dons could turn on the style in the second half.
However, it wasn't to be. The second half continued in the same vain as the
first, with neither team really showing the will to win. As the game progressed,
it looked as if the game was going to finish 1-0. However, Dundee increased
their lead with 5 minutes remaining. On-form Iain Anderson struck for the Dens
Park men, as he continued his good form, in a
bid to win a transfer to the English Premiership.
The Dons did manage to score a consolation goal when Jess set up Robbie Winters
to score once again for the Dons.
It was another dissapointing result for Paul Hegarty with none of the players
really showing that they are worth a first team place.
