Clachnacuddin Go Under At Pittodrie |
 |
A poorer exhibition of football has seldom been given at Pittodrie than that on Saturday, when Aberdeen A entertained Inverness Clachnacuddin in a Highland League game. Play was of the lowest possible standard, and was spoilt throughout by a boisterous wind. Neither team could settle down to their game, and miskicking was frequent. A feature of the match was the number of penalties of awarded, three being given against the visitors and won against the Reserves. Our Mckenzie converted the advantage for Clach, while McIntosh scored the home team's only goal from the foul kicks. The other point for the Aberdeen team was secured by brown. The defence of both elevens was sound, but forward and displays were scrappy. The score does not reflect the general run of play, and a draw perhaps would've been a fairer result.
