Northern League
Dundee 3 - 2 Aberdeen
Kick Off:
Attendance: 0
Venue: Dens Park, Dundee
In a match for Northern League points Dundee A and Aberdeen A played with unlimited dash, and the spectators enjoyed two teams struggle. Five goals were scored, all in the first half, Dundee securing the verdict by the odd one. Additional interest was led to the game by the appearance of Brown, whom Dundee have secured from Saint Joseph's.

Brown, who played centre forward, is built on rather spare lines, and does not fall. Physically, he's not of the make of a first-class forward, but once he gathered confidence he showed many clever touches, and scored two good goals. Ross and Satterthwaite filled the inside berths an acceptably, and Steven was always prominent. At outside right Fraser was not so useful as in his unaccustomed place in the middle of the line. McIntosh gave a splendid display at centre-half, and Strachan and Melville were always satisfactory. Neal and Husson made a strong back division, while Balfour saved a lot of shots in brilliant style.

The best man in the Aberdeen defence was Greig, the goalkeeper. He had a very busy time, and much of his work was very fine. Backs and halves fell away considerably in the second half. Walker was the pick of the frontline. When they can afford to leave Walker out of their first 11, the Aberdeen Directors must surely have an embarrassment of class men. J. H. Neilson was also prominent in the front rank.
