Aberdeen 'A' Do Well
Aberdeen reserves accomplished a fine performance at Ibrox, where they divided the Scottish Alliance points with Rangers "A" each team scoring once. In a goalless first half the exchanges were even, with both defences being severely tested. Moir, Spalding, and Connon, for Aberdeen, had capital tries, and for Rangers, Stewart, McGregor, and Nicholson came near counting. In the earlier stages of the second half the Aberdeen attack was much in evidence, and they got their reward when Spalding scored a capital goal. Repeatedly the Pittodrie team came near to increasing the lead, but in a late rally by the Rangers, Nicholson secured the equaliser. Rangers are in the running for the championship, and the dropping of a point in this game seriously endangers their prospects. For Aberdeen "A." Cunningham, Bruce, Dick, Moir, Connon, and Spalding were outstanding, and for Rangers "A." Reid, Nicholson, Stewart, and McGregor were best.
