Young Dons' Disatrous Day
We had a disastrous day at Easter Road when Hibs Reserves beat us by six goals to two. Ian Gibson gave us the lead after 10 minutes, when he intercepted a bad throw-in from a defender, but five minutes later Ally McLean got in a mix up with his defence and allowed McGhee the Hibs striker an easy chance to score the equalizer. Before the interval McGhee scored again when another defensive blunder allowed the home team to go in at half-time a goal up.
We had the advantage of playing down the slope in the second half and our players must have thought it was going to be easy. With most of our players pushing forward, Hibs scored another four goals with quick breakaways. Andy Watson scored our second goal after working a one-two and then rounding the Hibs keeper. Andy and Ian Gibson were the only two players who didn't tarnish their reputations.
