Scottish Reserve League
St. Mirren 3 - 2 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Leonard, Stevenson, Hyslop       Grant, Dornan
Attendance: 0
Venue: St Mirren Park (Love Street), Paisley
I felt we were unlucky to lose by three goals to two at Love Street.
We scored an early goal when after good work by George Campbell and John Reilly, Alec Grant side footed the ball into the empty net. We played some good football and with-a little luck should have had more goals. As it was St. Mirren equalised on the interval when Dougie Brown our left back allowed his opponent to cross from the bye-line for Leonard to score.
After the break John Clark missed a chance when he hit the post from close in, but shortly afterwards young Andy Dornan headed a spectacular goal to put us in front.
St. Mirren equalised when a weak clearance by our goalkeeper was driven hard into the net by Stevenson the St. Mirren No.8.
We tried hard for the winner but another mistake allowed Hyslop to put the home team ahead. Our boys pulled out all the stops to get back on level terms, but in the end we had to accept defeat.
We had a very young team on duty and it was pleasing to see them attempt to play football as it should be played.
