Cup Final Re-match

Meanwhile, the Pittodrie second team further strengthened their Premier Reserve League challenge with a home win over Hearts. Facing an experienced Edinburgh side, the young Dons eventually had to rely on a Graeme Ferguson goal in the 80th minute for victory, but their earlier leading-up play, particularly in the first half was worthy of a wider winning margin.
Player-coach Neil Cooper, sidelined by injury, was, however, less pleased by the needless bookings incurred by three Aberdeen players for either dissent or time-wasting.
