Hewitt Hat-trick

A second superb hat-trick by JOHN HEWITT within the space of two games established the "A" with a clear lead at the top of the table of four points over Celtic.
Following his threesome in the 3-1 win over Accies at Hamilton the Aberdeen-born striker dished out similar treatment to Rangers at Ibrox aided by PAUL WRIGHT in a 4-2 victory. That defeat meant that Rangers trailed two points further behind Celtic in a Championship-chase that continued to lean encouringly in Dons' direction. Topping and tailing the fine team display with early and late goals he also put his team back into the lead at the start of the second half after Spencer had equalised.
Wright joined the fray when he dribbled past three defenders to make it 3-1 and Hewitt was waiting to round it all off following a second Rangers goal, this time from Russell.
