Montrose Suffer Biggest Defeat in History

THANKS to Dundee United "A" who beat Hearts 1-0, the Aberdeen reserves have been given a second chance of winning the "C" Division championship.
Montrose have hopes of being admitted to Division "B" next season, but they did nothing to further their cause in this respect on Saturday, when they were beaten 13-0 by Aberdeen "A" at Pittodrie.
This is the second time within three months that the young Dons have had double figures. It will be recalled that on Saturday, December 30, they beat East Fife "A" 15-0.
As a result they have scored more goals than any side in "C" Division. This may come in useful should goal average be necessary to decide the winners. At the moment it's a neck and neck race between Hibs, Aberdeen and Herats.
Hugh Hay and Jimmy Stenhouse made the biggest contribution to Aberdeen's victory with five and four goals respectively. Ian Rodger, O'Neil and Dick also scored.
Montrose played Ernie Reaper (Woodside) at centre-forward, but he was poorly supported.
