Aberdeen

AFTER losing two goals in thirty-seven minutes at Pittodrie on Saturday, Aberdeen "A " blitzed their way to a 4-2 victory over Hibs "A" in a friendly match.
The Young Dons were uncertain at the start, but they struck a telling game later on and held on to their lead when Hibs made their big effort to save the game.
Big Jimmy Preston had one of his best games since coming to Aberdeen. His strength in the tackle and ability to turn defence into attack with his big kicking were invaluable assets. He was the best half-back, although McKenzie had a good second half.

Turnbull Not Prominent

McIntyre, the new recruit from Kilbirnie Ladeside. made his debut in attack. He needs sharpening up, but his positional play is good, and he was not afraid to go through on his own.
Eddie Turnbull, who was tried out at inside left for Hibs, obviously felt the effects of his injury and was not often prominent. Reilly was the visitors' most dangerous forward, and in defence Waldie, a product of Inverness Caledonian, was outstanding.
Armstrong and Turnbull (penalty) scored for Hibs before two goals by Botha as many minutes levelled matters by the Interval. Glen and Callander were the second half marksmen.
