Reserves Do Well At Tynecastle

Fine Recovery in Second Half.

Aberdeen "A" did well indeed to take two points off the strong-going Hearts.
Brand, the Hall, Russell's junior, made an auspicious debut for the young Dons, scoring two goals.
Hearts opened the scoring through O'Neill, and soon afterwards Brand equalised. Just before the interval Walker gave the homesters the lead, but the Dons resumed strongly, and Love again brought the teams level. Brand capped a good afternoon's work scoring the winning goal for the Pittodrie side. Near the close Cumming brilliantly saved a penalty-kick taken by Dodds.

Worthy Leaders.

The Aberdeen side proved to the Tynecastle crowd' that they are worthy leaders of the Alliance League. The defence was splendid against the gale in the first half, Jackson being outstanding. The forwards were not so well balanced as usual, and Love and McDermid were best, with Brand always on the look-out for a scoring chance. Donald and O'Reilly backed up well, and gave O'Neill and Munro little scope.
Hearts, by comparison, were a very ordinary lot, and Aberdeen, though twice in arrears, were impressive all through.
