Accies Fortunate to Drop Only One Point.
Aberdeen "A" did quite well to force a 1-1 draw with Hamilton Accies at Douglas Park, but should have won. The Pittodrie lads took matters in hand from the start, and with twenty minutes gone Burke opened the scoring. Aberdeen were the more likely looking side, and It was slightly against the run of play when Hamilton equalised through McMenemy near the interval. Play was more even and less interesting in the second half. Warnock missed a chance for Aberdeen, and Gilmour took the ball from Merrie's feet. The Accies held their own during this period, despite the fact that Aberdeen made a great effort near the close to win both points.Source: Press & Journal, 19th January 1931
