HT Score: Aberdeen 0 - 0 Aberdeenshire Senior Select

Aberdeen scorers: Ward.

15/05/1907 | KO: 19:15

A football match in aid of funds of the Aberdeenshire Senior Football Association was played at Pittodrie, Aberdeen, last night, between Aberdeen A and a select team from the clubs forming the Aberdeenshire Senior Association. There was a small attendance when the teams lined up as follows under the charge of Mr. P. Gillespie, Aberdeen:-

Aberdeen A: Mutch; John Robertson, Brebner; Davidson, J. J. Simpson, Gowie Robertson; James Robertson, Edgar, Ward, Hilton, McKenzie.
Select Team: Hird; Bell, Hay; Ross, Shand, Morgan; Findlay, Ferries, Young, Davidson, Drummond.

The Select Team showed splendid form, their work in the open being exceptionally good. They had numerous good openings, but bad shooting near goal spoiled their opportunities. There was no scoring up to half-time.

The second half opened briskly, and five minutes after the start Ward put Aberdeen on the lead from a well timed centre by Jas. Robertson. The Select men tried hard to secure the equaliser, but Aberdeen's defence was sound. An interesting game ended in favour of Aberdeen A by one goal to nil.
