Brady Dangerous In Attack

"SEE-SAW" TIPS IN YOUNG DONS' FAVOUR

Aberdeen "A" won their match against Clyde " at Pittodrie on Saturday by five goals to three. There was a long period in the game in which neither side could be said to have any definite advantage over the other, although the young Dons' forwards did go about their business in a much more workmanlike fashion than their visitors.
Brady was an ever present danger to Hamilton and Stevenson. W. Scott and he had a very sound positioning understanding which on several occasions just missed bringing goals.

LITTLE COMBINATION

This could not be said of the Clyde attackers, who were seldom seen in combined attack.
Hope on the right was their most dangerous man and the winger had quite a number of shots well taken by Kelly in goal.
The Aberdeen half-backs had a great deal to do with this ineffectiveness of the Clyde attack; Currer in particular breaking up many a raid.
Aberdeen "A" took an early lead from free kick for foul against G. Scott. The kick was taken by W. Scott, who scored rather innocently with a well-placed shot. This lead was only minutes old when Clyde levelled matters with a spot kick taken by Brown.
Stevenson had a narrow escape when Brady, lying unmarked, first timed a cross from Taylor over the bar.
Clever play between W. Scott and Brady gave Aberdeen a deserved lead, the winger shooting hard into the roof of the net. Again Clyde did not take long to level matters, Hope shooting from long range for Kelly to palm the ball against the post in his effort to save, the ball rebounding into goal.

MYSTERY PLAYER

Before half-time, however, Aberdeen regained the lead when, in a goalmouth scramble, " Newman " bustled the ball into the net.
The see-saw nature of the scoring continued after the interval. McKie getting a goal for Clyde with a rising shot. The homesters we're not slow to counter this. Brady ran in from the wing to bang in a terrific shot.
Clyde were fighting harder than ever now, but the issue was settled when, in an effort to clear a shot from " Newman," Tawse put through his own goal. .
