Although Aberdeen Reserves came away from Recreation Park defeated by three goals to one, they were definitely not disgraced.
Alloa opened the scoring through Newman after twenty-six minutes, again in the sixty-fifth minute, and the third was scored by Mackie. Callendar reduced the leeway.
