ABERDEEN Reserves also made a good start in the cup competitions with a clean-cut 4-0 win over St Mirren "A" at Paisley. The Young Dons produced the finer points, but in the first half the Saints' go-ahead methods produced several scoring opportunities which were not turned to advantage.
Curran had a good first half for the Young Dons, who snapped the only goal through Kelly. After half-time it was pretty much one-way traffic, with Aberdeen well on top. Kelly completed his hat-trick and Millar completed the rout.
