Young Dons hit back late on

The Dons came from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Kilmarnock scored 2 early goals but Michie lifted spirits by getting one back just before half time.

The home side started the stronger and it came as no surprise when McDonald grabbed the opening goal with a low drive into the net from the edge of the box. Kilmarnock then doubled their lead when Merdy was on hand to net from close range from a corner kick.

Aberdeen survived a strong penalty claim before throwing themselves a lifeline as Michie netted on the stroke of half time. The young Dons then showed great fighting qualities and drew level midway through the second half. Once more it was Michie who was on target.

In a grandstand finish, Kilmarnock had a goal chalked off, but Rachid Belabed had the final say. The Moroccan hit a glorious 20 yard shot late on to secure all three points against a strong Kilmarnock side.
