Motherwell 1 - 1 Aberdeen

The Aberdeen F.C. officials are confronted with a problem. They will have to decide whether to play safe and make a bid to finish runners-up with their present or blood some of their young players.
It would be quite an accomplishment to finish second, but the long-term policy would be to give one or two of the younger school a chance to prove themselves. Aberdeen F.C. could do this and perhaps still finish second.
Some of the first team players are not hitting the high spots at the moment. The decision rests with Mr Halliday and his directors.

TOMMY LOWRIE did not let them down against Motherwell. This 23-year-old former Manchester United half-back was handicapped by a head injury received in the first ten minutes.
In spite of this he showed promising form. he is whole-hearted and is prepared to mix it and he has sound constructive ideas - he made every effort to keep his passes on the ground.
At Fir Park he again went on the right wing for a spell and if he is to repay his transfer fee I have an idea it will be as a winger rather than a centre-forward.

HAMILTON was missed. He has the invaluable knack of holding the line together. Against Motherwell the forwards were disjointed. More "devil" could be developed on the wings.
Yorston was the Dons' best forward. He was full of dash and along with Hamilton he might have done a lot of damage at Fir Park.
His equalising goal was a dandy. So quickly did he go into action that the Motherwell defenders never had a ghost ofa chance of intercepting him.
The Dons' defence had their moments, too. There was a ten minutes spell in the second half when Martin seemed to lose his touch and dropped several balls
There was an improvement in Shaw's play, but the man in command in the rear was Young. The centre-half was faster, more accurate and more confident than at Celtic Park.
