Young Dons cruise in cup

Aberdeen's Under 18's moved into the fourth round of the Scottish Youth Cup after a comprehensive 4-1 win over Hearts at Stenhousemuir this evening.

Goals from Scott Muirhead and Stephen Tarditi had Drew Jarvie's young guns two up at the interval.

The second half followed a similar pattern with Muirhead notching a second and Kevin Soutar putting the Dons four up before Hearts grabbed a late consolation.

Coach Drew Jarvie was delighted with the win. "The boys played really well and thoroughly deserved their victory. We now hope the first team can follow our example tomorrow!"
