Aberdeen and Hibs failed to find the net in a match overshadowed by the breaking news that Steve Paterson and Duncan Shearer had taken up their appointment at Pittodrie. Although he finished at the club earlier in the day, Drew Jarvie took charge of the team for the last time. Despite creating several chance the boys were unable to send him off with a win.
