Wright Penalty Defeats Dons

Paul Wright slotted home a penalty as Kilmarnock went level on points with Rangers at the top of the table.

Wright was given the chance to open the scoring after Mark Perry brought down Ally McCoist.

Kevin McGowne came close to doubling the lead but his header was cleared the line by Andy Dow.

Aberdeen hit back after the break but Eoin Jess's powerful header was superbly saved by Gordon Marshall.

N.B. The programme cover incorrectly shows the date as 1988 instead of 1999.
