The Dons took the lead after a quarter of an hour when Dundee keeper Kelvin Jack punched a corner clear only as far as WINTER, who took one touch before crashing the ball into the net. Aberdeen had the lion's share of the opening period and could have had the outcome done and dusted had Lubomir Blaha, Steven Craig and John Stewart not all scorned good opportunities to extend their advantage. These misses proved costly on the stroke of the interval when Glenn Atle LARSEN equalised from close range.
That's how it stayed until twenty minutes from the end, a Blaha shot was blocked by Jack and the ball fell to DEMPSEY who was first to follow up and drive the ball home.
