Clydesdale Bank Youth League 20 March 2010 Aberdeen 2 Kilmarnock 0
Aberdeen U19s put in an impressive performance to record a comfortable win over their Kilmarnock counterparts at Balgownie last Saturday.
Straight from the off the young Dons dominated but they had to wait until the 33 minute to take the lead. From a corner Callum McRobbie crossed for the impressive Joe Shaughnessy to score with a header. Then in the 42 minutes Neil Cooper's men made it two. Captain Scott Ross set up Mitch Megginson and the striker, who has been involved with the first team this season, finished well.
After the break Aberdeen continued to enjoy the majority of the possession but were unable to add to their goal tally. The best chance fell to Megginson when he was put clear through but he failed to score.
With the amount of games that were postponed during the bad weather there is still a lot of points up for grabs and much to play for in the Youth league this season. The U19s are in action against Hamilton Accies on Tuesday at Balgownie. Kick off is at 1.00pm.
