THE Dons showed Rangers how to snap their chances in Saturday?s game at Piltodrie.

The Light Blue had no reason to complain of the result. They have still to find a solution to their attacking problems.
The fact that they did so much switching points to the fact that the line did not give satisfaction. Although Simpson started at centre-torward it was difficult to decide whether he or Thornton was leader of the attack.
The one man it didn't seem to bother was Kenny Thomson. Aberdeen?s deputy centre-half. He was master in the middle, and neither Thornton nor Simpson got any change out of the former Aberdeen junior.

IT was the half-back line that laid the foundation for victory. Harris, once he warmed up. played strongly, and Lowrie was as good a half back as there was on the field. The former Manchester United player did a grand job of work.
Martin played well in goal, and although Hamilton found Young a difficult opponent to shake off the Dons? leader did invaluable work by keeping the line moving. Yorston had a high nuisance value. His quick bursts through the middle troubled the Ibrox defence.
