Falkirk Get Two Doubtful Goals

TWO doubtful goals in the closing minutes enabled Falkirk to draw 5-5 with Aberdeen in the first leg of the 1951-52 Dewar Shield final at Brockville yesterday.
Clark seemed offside when he scored the fourth, and Martin was impeded as he tried to stop Brown’s lob which produced the fifth goal.
Aberdeen’s defence, good on the whole, had one or two fatal lapses, but Harris had a good game at right half, where he took over from Anderson.
The Pittodrie forwards did not combine well, and in the second-half Dunbar went on the right wing with Buckley at centre.
Both these players had a goal and lan Rodger, the third centre forward in the line had a hat-trick from the inside right position.
