Weak Dons' Attack at Ibrox

The Aberdeen attack at Ibrox, where Rangers won by four clear goals, was the weakest that has represented he Dons this season. The Dons were also weakly represented by "newman" at left back. Rutherford, the Rangers' right winger, had three of the four goals, McLennan having the other.

But for Johnstone, Cooper, Anderson, Dunlop and Taylor the score might have been doubled. No player did more than Cooper to stem the tide.
Frank Dunlop at centre-half worked heroically, and Anderson at right-half had a good game. Taylor foraged well.
The less said about the attack the better. Pattillo had the two best chances to score, but threw them away. Cox and Green fell far below expectations. Williams hugged the ball too much, and Dryden did little else than send over occasional good crosses.
The Dons can be practically reckoned out of the running for the championship. Of their remaining three matches, two are from home They have yet to record an away win.
