Dons' Smashing Win Over Falkirk

Aberdeen now lead the North-Eastern League by four points over Rangers and five over East Fife. They are definitelv assured of second place, and have still a chance to win the championship.

The Dons have only one match to play, against Hearts at Tynecastle on a date yet to be fixed. Rangers have two away engagements, while East Fife have one match at home and one away.
By defeating Falkirk 7-0 at Pittodrie yesterday the Dons have in two games scored thirteen goals without reply.
Outstanding player on the field yesterday was Pattillo, the Aberdeen inside right, who had three of the seven goals, and was twice unfortunate not to add to his score.
The Dons were much stronger in defence than their opponents, although Johnstone at times was none too confident in fielding crosses.
Cooper and McKenna never made a mistake, while there was no comparison between the respective half-back lines. Lowe dominated the centre of the field. Taylor was the best half-back on view, with Cruickshank little behind him.
Miller was at best on the right, and Bremner and McCall made a strong left wing. Cox was not a success at centre, but he took his goal coolly.
Falkirk's best were Innard, Ogilvie, Dick, Henderson and Brady.
