Before 4000 spectators, these teams met at Dens Park in the final for the Dewar Shield. Play was very poor, and extra time was necessary, during which Robertson scored a soft goal for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen won the Dewar Shield at Dundee on Saturday, an A team beating Hibs, the Tayside Second League combination. The Hibs had Herbert Dainty, late off Dundee and Ayr United, at centre half, but those in front of him found Jock Hume, Munro, and Brewster quite good enough for them. Robertson scored the goal that won the shield. It was a long shot, and took the Hibs' goalkeeper by surprise.
