Aberdeen 'A' Badly Beaten

In a Scottish Alliance match at Broxburn, Aberdeen were defeated by Broxburn by five goals to nil. The homesters opened the scoring in the first minute, Reid being the marksman. After Simpson had missed, McBurnie failed with a penalty. At the homesters' end Bruce had to save from Love and Yorston. Broxburn continued to have the better of the exchanges, but were weak in front of goal. Just before the interval Moore increased the homesters' lead. Immediately on the resumption Broxburn went further ahead, Rayne scoring from a scrimmage. Another goal was added by Simpson off a corner. Aberdeen were mostly confined to their own half, and when they did attack, the forward line was extremely poor. A fifth goal was added for Broxburn by Grainger.
