At Firhill Park, Glasgow, Aberdeen "A" received their second defeat of the season when Partick Thistle "A" defeated them by three goals to two.
Aberdeen were early aggressive, and forced an abortive corner. Following this the homesters pressed, but the Aberdeen defence were too strong for them. After 15 minutes the visitors took the lead, McFarlane being tripped in the penalty area, and netting from the spot kick. Thistle again took up the attack, but failed to equalise. At the other end, Bruce increased the Aberdeen total with a good drive. A few minutes later Spencer failed when well placed. With the wind advantage the Thistle attacked strongly in the second half, and after McSevich had stopped a shot from Simpson, Wilkie ran in to open Thistle's account. Stimulated by this success the homesters attacked with renewed vigour, and after Hunter had equalised, Williamson scored the winning goal.
