Aberdeen 4 - 1 Hibernian

Scottish League 'C' Division
Aberdeen scorers: Wallace, McNeill, Hay, Hay (Pen).

25/08/1951 | KO: 15:00

The young Dons of Saturday were unrecognisable as the team that drew earlier in the week with Dundee United. Their first win of the season, 4-1 against Hibernian "A" at Pittodrie, was thoroughly deserved. One of the pleasing features was the success of newcomer Samuels from Broxburn Athletic at right half. Samuels, a strongly built forcing type of player, did well in his first appearance at Pittodrie.
Alex. Young showed signs of a return to form at right back, though he is still not the player of last season, and Chris Anderson, who had a lively opponent in Mulkerrin, did well at centre-half.
The Pick of the defenders, however, was Pat McKenna, whose display at left back must make him a lively candidate for promotion to the League side.
