The thing that pleased me most last Saturday in our 2-1 win over Hibernian Reserves was the good display by our centre half Michael Robertson, who won't be 17 until February. He has shown an improvement in every game and on Saturday he never made one mistake.
However, he will be the first to admit that he has been fortunate to have Neil Cooper playing along side him. Neil is a tremendous help to the young lads around him and no doubt he remembers the help he received in his early days in the Reserve team.
Another youngster who has been showing up well in the past few games has been John Hewitt. Since we moved him to a striking role, John has been a different player. He is more involved in the game in this position than he was on the left wing, and his goal against Hibs was one of the cleverest I've seen in a long time.
Neil Burke has been doing a good job for our team playing equally well at left back and midfield. "Burky" had a very good game last week, keeping the experienced Willie Murray of Hibs out of the game. he also fancies himself as a table tennis player, but he has a long way to go before he can match the Old Boys at Pittodrie.
